Professional StandardsPACEY has developed three categories of membership for childcare professionals currently offering a childcare service to children, either by running their own business (a childminder) or as an employee (a nanny or nursery assistant).
There is a further category for members who want to extend their practice by contributing to promoting the childcare profession. * Member - for members who meet the basic requirements for delivering childcare and who have logged 15 hours CPD (Continuous Professional Development) per year.
* Affiliate - for members who are experienced childcare practitioners committed to professional development and who have logged 20 hours CPD per year.
* Fellow - for members who want to be recognised for extending their childcare practice and who have logged 25 hours CPD per year.
* Ambassador - for members who want to be recognised for activities that promote the childcare profession.
