Eat Better, Start Better programme

I was pleased to be asked to pilot the Eat Better, Start Better eating programme.  I was one of nine childminders in this area asked to be part of the pilot.  The 'Eat Better, Start Better' programme is about helping children under the age of five to eat well - by helping early years providers meet children’s nutritional needs more consistently.

I follow the national voluntary food and drink guidelines which describe the types and amounts of food and drink to provide for meals and snacks in early years settings. By following these voluntary food and drink guidelines helps to ensure the nutritional requirements of children attending early years settings are met.
